I had tried many times to control my over-eating and cut back on the junk food. But my good intentions never seemed to last long enough to pay off. When I was first diagnosed, my A1C level, which is the 3 month blood sugar average, was over 11. My doctor told me it was dangerously high. When my latest test result showed it had dropped way down to 5.99 I was thrilled. It was definite proof that I am successfully controlling my diabetes. My doctor said whatever I’ve been doing, keep doing it! With the guidance and encouragement Michele has given me I feel confident that I’ll be able to do just that.
